Who requires to pay someone to paint the house, I could save stacks of moolah and do it myself or so I believed.
See I really like to think I am smart with my money. I own a neat and spacious three bedroom flat in the Eastern suburbs. I've decided to spruce up the interior in hope of adding some value to it.
I informed from a little fairy at work that property around here is add up to boom boom boom like the Vengaboys.
A couple of Sunday’s back I ducked down to the local ironmongery store full of confidence and aspiration. First thing was first – I had to choose the colour.
Conveniently I got some aid from the friendly young stunning lass behind the counter. Anything she revealed went. I mean of course girls are going to have an improved sense of internal design than plain, old, stock standard, boring me right? I got a few rollers, some brushes and a drop sheet “I was sure I had everything I wished to professionally decorate the interior of the flat.
I got home turned on my favourite hip-hop tunes and away I went. I was flying; I got the lounge room completed in virtually no time.
The bedrooms were next and then the kitchen. Too easy!
One month on, and I begin to notice that I was way to slipshod around the skirting and the light switches.
I now know that I couldn’t be a surgeon. The quantity of sea blue paint on the skirting boards in the lounge room and the light switches everywhere was crazy, what was I doing??.. I knew I didn’t remember to get the masking tape!
A few more weeks past and a few cracks started to appear in the kitchen.
I believed, “A h nothing a quick touch up can’t fix” Slowly more and more and more were seen everywhere. It looked horrid. Harking back to a zoo break free and all the animals used my lounge room as a safe haven.
After at least 20 touch-up tries, I erupted. Enough was enough.
I was calling in someone that knew what they were doing! Some sort professional painters were to be the saviours.
And so they were in a swift half a day the interior decorating crew had, sanded, painted the undercoat and were finishing the final touches “all while I was adore the sun on the local Golf course!
The best part was that it was awfully fairly priced. It would be way cheaper to go with somebody that knew what they were doing from the beginning.
And I thought I was clever with my currency!
The professional had finally came to my rescue and at last I could relax.
