Through this method the business owner acquires money from investors in exchange of company stock. Investors however are free to either take or not take the risks involved in running a business. One thing is certain though: the investors will lose their money if the business fails but they can gain twice as the amount they invested when the business gets really successful. Hence the value of company stock depends on the financial stability of the business.

Private lending firms are also nowadays thriving in the business industry. One of the reasons that make them popular among borrowers is their eagerness to finance high risk loans. Borrowers should take note though that private lending firms, like banks, are meticulous in terms of processing loan applications.
